Saturday, August 19th. 2pm to 4pm, Cormorant Room
with Jennifer Lee

Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching or functional embroidery from Japan.  In this introductory workshop to hand
Sashiko, students will learn about the history of Sashiko and the basic supplies needed to stitch this unique style.  Jen will also show you how to work the stitch and transfer designs as well as discuss its application for big stitch hand quilting.  Students will start to stitch a pre-printed panel that can be finished at home as a pillow, purse, quilt block or more!  Stitchers beware….Sashiko is addictive!

$12 Kit payable to instructor.

Class attendees receive free multi-day admission to Stitcher Paradise Marketplace and In-store coupon to Happy Apple Quilts/Florida Quilting Center
