9am to 1pm ~ ReMarkable Hand Applique by Machine $65 + $50 KitMark has had a passion for applique since the day that he started quilting. At that time, he used a fusible method but did not like the fact that the appliques were stiff and difficult to quilt. The only other option was hand applique but with his very large hands he saw this as something almost impossible.
Necessity being the mother of invention Mark came up with this method of applique and have used it ever since for all of his prize winning quilts. The stitches are perfect and the applique edges are turned. A hundred years from now his appliques will still hold up and be looking fantastic.
Mark has designed a Remarkable butterfly for his students which will be part of a mandatory kit fee. The kit includes everything you need to learn the method and finish your project. This is a Hands on Class, students need to bring their own machine.
