9am to 1pm ~ ReMarkable Stained Glass Quilt $65 + $40 Kit9am to 1pm ~ ReMarkable Stained Glass Quilt $65 + $40 KitWhat Mark has discovered over the years is that hand dyed fabric and stained glass have so much in common. Beautiful colors, striations and mottling are present in both. This makes it so easy to create stained glass quilts using fabric. We suggest you look at his quilt Wisteria, part of the permanent collection of The National Quilt Museum. You will be learning the same exact method Mark uses to make this gorgeous quilt. You will hand draw your own pattern using his photograph in this class but at the same time you will learn how you could easily do this same thing using your very own photo. You will create a piece of art for hanging on your wall at home that you can be proud of. Mark will give you a choice of completing your project in whichever method of applique you would like to use. This class includes a demonstration of how Mark makes his appliques. There is a mandatory kit fee for this class which will include everything you need to make your own remarkable stained glass pattern. This is a Hands on Class, students need to bring their own machine.
2pm to 6pm ~ ReMarkable Fabric Weaving $65 + $40 Kit2pm to 6pm ~ ReMarkable Fabric Weaving $65 + $40 KitThis is the perfect class choice for those groups with a mix of traditional and art quilters. Both types of quilters love this class. Mark did not invent fabric weaving. It has been around for years. What Mark did do is turn fabric weaving into something ReMARKable and fun, fun, fun! You can make a stand alone project in hours, quilted and bound. Some of his students have even turned their projects into lovely tote bags and yet others have used his method of fabric weaving and added their unique touch to quilt projects. The sky is the limit what you can create with ReMARKable Fabric Weaving. Fabric weaving is beautiful and impressive without being one bit hard to accomplish. That is what makes it ReMARKable! There is a mandatory kit fee which will include everything you need to do your weaving project, including my gorgeous hand dyed fabric, your choice of color! This is a Hands on Class, students need to bring their own machine.
